Altruistic Egg Donor Program at Toronto's LifeQuest IVF Clinic

A Third Party Services/ Donor Coordinator is readily available to all patients to explain procedures, coordinate appointments and assist patients in finding suitable egg donors. The coordinator is instrumental in assisting patients and their donors in navigating through the altruistic egg donor program at LifeQuest Toronto. All donors are screened by our medical team: they are seen by a physician and a counsellor who specializes in reproductive issues. In addition, donors undergo extensive lab testing as well as ultrasounds before their IVF cycle at LifeQuest's downtown Toronto clinic.  Finally our patients as well as their donors are advised of their legal rights and obligations through meetings with independent lawyers versed in the legalities associated with reproduction technology.  

Altruistic Gestational Carrier Program at Toronto's LifeQuest IVF Clinic

In addition, LifeQuest offers an altruistic gestational carrier program  where the patient’s embryos are transferred to a gestational carrier (surrogate) during an IVF cycle at LifeQuest's downtown Toronto clinic. The Third Party Services Coordinator is also available to facilitate the process. Gestational carriers, who are chosen by the patient, must also be screened by the physician and the counsellor. In addition, the gestational carrier (and her partner, if applicable) must undergo several specific laboratory investigations. She is also required to undergo a sonohysterogram where the uterus is examined and its suitability for a pregnancy is evaluated. Finally, the gestational carrier and the intended parent are also offered independent legal advice. A legal contract must be drawn up prior to commencing the IVF cycle.
