Sherry Dale, MSW

Infertility Counsellor

Sherry Dale is a registered clinical counsellor specializing in infertility, miscarriage and other reproductive losses, grief and trauma, and couple counselling. She works with those experiencing infertility, as well as egg and sperm donors and surrogates. She can also provide counselling for those who are not patients at LifeQuest. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work.

In 1990 she cofounded the self-help group Infertility Network and in 1997 she cofounded the Southern Ontario Network of Infertility Counsellors. From 1996-2005, Sherry was a member of Health Canada's Advisory Committee on Reproductive and Genetic Technologies, and has researched and written about regulation of reproductive technology, infertility counselling, and the personal experience of infertility – her two children were conceived through fertility treatments. In 2002, Sherry initiated the establishment of LifeQuest’s Ethics Committee, and has presented this work at ethics and fertility conferences. Sherry’s goal is to provide support to those experiencing the emotional impact of infertility and other life challenges.
